Operator and acceptance

IGDown is operated by Baljit, an individual operator based in New Delhi, India. “IGDown,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Baljit operating the service. “You” means the person accessing or using the service.

By visiting, submitting a URL, requesting a preview or download, or otherwise using IGDown, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” includes it.

Eligibility and age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. You may not use IGDown if applicable law prohibits you from receiving the service or if you have been suspended for violating these Terms.

IGDown does not knowingly permit use by children. A parent or guardian should contact support@igdown.pro if they believe a person under 18 has used the service or submitted personal information.

The service and its limits

IGDown is a browser-based utility that attempts to resolve downloadable media from supported publicly accessible URLs. Supported platforms, route formats, media types, previews, quality, and availability can change. IGDown does not provide access to private accounts, Close Friends content, direct messages, drafts, credentials, or content requiring account-specific permission.

IGDown is independent from Instagram, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest, and other source platforms. It is not sponsored, approved, or endorsed by them. Platform names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Your instructions and limited processing permission

When you submit a URL, you instruct IGDown to validate it, contact the relevant public source or media host, process public metadata, create a preview, and proxy or deliver available media. You grant IGDown a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to perform those technical acts solely to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and provide the requested service.

You retain any rights you already hold in information you submit. You represent that the submitted URL is public, that you are authorised to provide it for processing, and that your requested download and intended use comply with law, source-platform terms, privacy obligations, and third-party rights.

Permitted use

You may use IGDown for lawful personal, archival, educational, accessibility, creative, or business purposes only when you own the media, have permission, hold an appropriate licence, or otherwise have a valid legal basis. Download capability by itself does not establish permission.

You are responsible for checking ownership, consent, copyright, music, trademark, publicity, data-protection, contractual, and other restrictions that apply to the source and your intended use.

Prohibited use

You must not use, attempt to use, or help another person use IGDown to violate law, rights, access controls, service integrity, or these Terms.

• Do not bypass or attempt to bypass private accounts, authentication, paywalls, age or location restrictions, rate limits, robots controls, or technical safeguards.
• Do not submit credentials, session cookies, private-message content, malicious URLs, malware, unlawful material, or information you are not authorised to process.
• Do not scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, probe, overload, benchmark abusively, resell access, operate competing bulk-download infrastructure, or automate requests without prior written permission.
• Do not interfere with servers or networks, evade blocks, disguise abusive traffic, exploit vulnerabilities, access another person’s data, or test destructively.
• Do not infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark, contractual, or other rights; facilitate harassment or surveillance; create unauthorised archives; impersonate creators; or remove ownership information.
• Do not use downloaded media for unlawful sexual content, exploitation, fraud, deceptive synthetic media, defamation, threats, discrimination, or other harmful activity.

Content and intellectual property

IGDown’s name, branding, interface, code, documentation, and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property and other laws. Except for the limited right to use the public service under these Terms, no IGDown rights are transferred to you.

Source media remains subject to the rights of its creator, platform, subjects, licensors, and other rightsholders. IGDown does not claim ownership of third-party media merely because it can be resolved or delivered. Copyright complaints should follow the DMCA and Copyright Policy.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy describes how submitted URLs, technical data, short-lived caches, analytics, support messages, and legal requests are processed. By using IGDown, you acknowledge that service delivery requires communications with hosting, proxy, source-platform, extraction, and media-host infrastructure, which may operate internationally.

Feedback and communications

If you voluntarily send product feedback or suggestions, you grant IGDown a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to use and incorporate that feedback without obligation to compensate you. This does not apply to personal information governed by the Privacy Policy or to third-party media rights.

Operational, legal, security, and support communications may be sent electronically to the address you use to contact IGDown. You are responsible for providing accurate contact details in a request.

Suspension, blocking, and termination

IGDown may rate-limit, block, suspend, or terminate access immediately when reasonably necessary to protect users, rightsholders, infrastructure, or third parties; comply with law or platform restrictions; investigate abuse; or enforce these Terms. Because public accounts are not currently offered, action may be applied to requests, IP ranges, devices, traffic patterns, URLs, or service routes.

You may stop using IGDown at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute, and general provisions—continue to apply.

Third-party services and links

IGDown depends on or links to third-party platforms, media hosts, hosting, proxy, analytics, and network providers. IGDown does not control their content, availability, security, policies, or actions and is not responsible for a third party merely because the service communicates with or links to it.

Your use of a source platform or third-party site remains governed by that provider’s terms. You assume the risk of visiting external links and should verify files and destinations before opening or sharing them.

Service availability and changes

The service may be changed, restricted, interrupted, or discontinued at any time. Upstream platforms can alter pages, formats, access rules, signatures, rate limits, or media hosts without notice. IGDown does not guarantee that a link will resolve, every carousel item will appear, a file will keep a particular format or resolution, or the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

IGDown may introduce, remove, or limit features and supported platforms. There is currently no paid consumer subscription or guaranteed service level unless IGDown and you sign a separate written agreement.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IGDown is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, or compatibility. IGDown does not warrant third-party media, source ownership, legal permission, file safety, metadata, quality, or the outcome of your use.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, guarantee, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. General website content is informational and is not legal advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baljit and IGDown will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss; loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, data, or content; service interruption; device damage; third-party claims; or unauthorised use of downloaded media, even if the possibility was known.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of Baljit and IGDown arising from or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of INR 1,000 or the amount you paid directly to IGDown for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. This cap does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or another mandatory exclusion under applicable law.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Baljit and IGDown from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, penalties, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your submitted URLs, downloaded media, unlawful or unauthorised use, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.

This obligation does not require a consumer to indemnify IGDown for IGDown’s own fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot lawfully be shifted. IGDown will provide reasonable notice of an indemnified claim where practicable and may control its defence and settlement, provided a settlement does not impose a non-monetary obligation on you without consent.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms and non-contractual disputes relating to IGDown are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a claim, you and IGDown should attempt in good faith to resolve it for 30 days after written notice is sent to support@igdown.pro.

Subject to mandatory consumer-protection and jurisdiction rights that cannot be waived, courts located in New Delhi, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to IGDown or these Terms. Nothing prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive or protective relief from a court with lawful authority.

Changes to these Terms

IGDown may revise these Terms when the service, providers, risks, or law changes. The effective and last-updated dates identify the current version. Material changes will receive reasonably prominent website notice or another notice required by law before taking effect.

Your continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree to a revision, stop using the service. A change will not retroactively reduce mandatory rights or alter a dispute that arose before the change where law prohibits that result.

General provisions

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and policies expressly incorporated by reference form the entire agreement about the public service and replace prior discussions on that subject. A separate signed agreement controls only to the extent it expressly conflicts.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent or severed while the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without written consent; IGDown may assign them in connection with a reorganisation, transfer, or sale of the service, subject to applicable notice requirements. Headings are for convenience and do not limit interpretation.
